Actor's Express Presents Two Fun-Filled Holiday Shows

By:

Actor's Express presents two productions in the month of December that promise music, laughs and holiday cheer.

Opening December 3 is the hit holiday comedy Every Christmas Story Ever Told by Michael Carleton, Jim Fitzgerald and John Alvarez. A hysterical mashup of beloved holiday stories, this three-actor comedy is a madcap marathon of yuletide comedy. Every Christmas Story Ever Told makes its Atlanta debut after playing to sold-out crowds around the country.

In the show, three actors who are determined to avoid yet another incarnation of A Christmas Carol set out to re-enact other holiday stories. In the process, they hilariously skewer a number of sacred cows and even find some real meaning in the holiday season along the way.

Opening Night for Every Christmas Story Ever Told is Friday, December 3 at 8:00 p.m. The festivities will include a Tacky Christmas Sweater Party, where guests will compete for prizes for the most outrageous holiday outfits. Sponsored by Whynatte, the Tacky Christmas Sweater Party will cost $30.00, which includes the ticket to the show, munchies and a signature cocktail featuring Whynatte. A cash bar will also be available.

Every Christmas Story Ever Told is directed by Suzi Bass Award-winning director Clint Thornton and stars Chad Martin, Amber Chaney and Bren Thomas. The creative team includes Jon Nooner (scenery), Mike Post (lights), Lindsay Parish (costumes), Lindsay Moore (props) and Rachel Edmonds (stage manager).

The ever-popular Libby's at the Express series brings Atlanta music legend Libby Whittemore back with her annual holiday offering "Ho Ho Home for the Holidays and a Connie Sue Day Christmas," featuring Whittemore herself and a special appearance by Connie Sue Day, the hilarious "31st Lady of Country Music." Longtime fans of Libby delight in the beautiful song stylings but also the irrepressible humor that makes this one of Atlanta's most fun holiday traditions.

AE Artistic Director Freddie Ashley says, "I love every chance to up the fun factor at Actor's Express. And what better time to kick back with great music and belly laughs than the holidays? Each performance offers something for everyone."

Both performances run throughout the month of December on a rotating schedule.
