Tony Award-winning vocalist Idina Menzel, praised for her performances in Rent, Wicked, and Glee, will sing with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra on Friday, November 12, 2010, at 8:00 p.m., in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center.
This one-night-only performance will feature selections from a variety of Broadway musicals, as well as favorites from Ms. Menzel's most recent solo album, "I Stand."
Ms. Menzel's current tour, which began early this summer, has included performances with orchestras across the nation such as the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Boston Pops. She has said: "I've taken a lot of my older material, and some new stuff, and had it orchestrated for a huge orchestra. It's glammed up a little bit more. We're trying to keep my intimate connection with the audience."
