Librettist Lee Hall on Billy Elliot is on Friday, August 21st at 1:00 AM.

Writer Lee Hall discusses creating the screenplay for the beloved film Billy Elliot, which he and Elton John adapted into a hit musical, now on Broadway. The program also features the USA television premiere of a highlight from the show's second act opening number, "Merry Christmas, Mrs. Thatcher."

Backstage at Minneapolis' Guthrie Theater is on Saturday, August 22nd at 8:30 PM; Sunday, August 23rd at 12:30 PM; and Monday, August 24th at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 7:30 PM

A tour of Minneapolis' new Guthrie Theater complex. Guthrie Artistic Director, Joe Dowling, and members of his production team, show co-hosts Michael Riedel and Susan Haskins around this impressive new building on the banks of the Mississippi River.

Also on the program, Guthrie audience favorite, actor Charles Keating looks back at his early years with the theater's resident company and remembers Sir Tyrone Guthrie, the man whose vision and genius made this remarkable institution and America's entire resident movement possible.

Theater Talk, the series devoted to the world of the stage, is co-hosted by Michael Riedel, Broadway columnist for the New York Post and series producer Susan Haskins.
