The Staten Island Historical Society is inviting everyone to have a good time in a day-long celebration of old-fashioned fun! It's COMMUNITY DAY at Historic Richmond Town on Sunday, August 8th, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and admission is FREE for all visitors! Presented by Time Warner Cable and sponsored in part by a generous grant from the office of NYC Council Member Vincent Ignizio, COMMUNITY DAY makes it as easy as possible for all Staten Islanders to come together and to share the diversity of American experience from the 17th century until today.
"Each year, we invite Staten Islanders to enjoy Historic Richmond Town for FREE on Community Day. It is our way of thanking our neighbors and welcoming new members to the community," said Ed Wiseman, Executive Director of the Staten Island Historical Society.SUMMER LIVING HISTORYTravel back in time as you experience American life the way it used to be on the countryside grounds of New York City's only living history village.
