The Green Room 42 Presents Rob Rokicki And The Good Kids In FACE YOUR FEARS

THE GREEN ROOM 42 welcomes the onstage return of composer and lyricist Rob Rokicki, following the success of the current National Tour of The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical. ROKICKI, composer of the acclaimed 2018 NAMT selection, Monstersongs, will present all new songs from his current list of never-before-seen projects. Supported by multi-hyphenate performers and a killer band of musicians, FACE YOUR FEARS will showcase all new material from this two-time Larson Award nominee in an exclusive and intimate night of music.

ROKICKI'S songs have been pegged to "live at the perfect intersection of musical theatre and radio rock" by Adam Gwon, composer of Ordinary Days.

On the concert, ROKICKI laughs, "Doing all new material is scary and thrilling. We're doing songs about misunderstood animals, sea-monster sex cults, wedding singers losing their mind, love songs about the end of the world... you know, typical musical theatre."

Rob Rokicki is the composer and lyricist of The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical (book by Joe Tracz). He has received nominations for three Drama Desk Awards, an Off-Broadway Alliance, and a Lortel Award. His projects include Monstersongs (official selection NAMT '18, art by David O'Neill); Punk Rock Girl (with Joe Iconis); Strange Tails (with Michael Ruby, Ars Nova ANT Fest); Eleven Eleven (LiveRead@SDC at USC); Love, NY (DC Fringe); and Experience Marianas! (Cap21/Molloy). Rokicki's work has been featured in New York at Lincoln Center, Joe's Pub, Ars Nova, and Feinstein's/54 Below as well as at The Other Palace in London. He is an American Harmony Award recipient and two-time Larson Award finalist. Original Cast Recordings for The Lightning Thief and Monstersongs are available on Broadway Records. Rokicki's solo album is available on Great White Wax. BFA, BA from the University of Michigan. Rob has taught as several universities, including Pace and Cap21/Molloy and is a member of the Dramatists Guild, Actor's Equity, and an alumna of the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop.
