"Vienna is the city of music - classical, contemporary and increasingly also the city of film music," says council member Renate Brauner. "Film and music evoke emotions, they inspire to travel and therefore play an essential role in destination marketing. The festival Hollywood in Vienna increasingly positions Vienna as the meeting point of the international movie industry and puts the city on a global stage now for the 10th time. One hundred thousand music fans around the world who watch the concert gala on TV, will look toward Vienna and might even start planning their next trip to the "world music capital."

ORF (Austrian Public Television) will broadcast the gala for the fifth time to over 30 countries.

The festivities begin on September 25, 2017, with the opening concert "Janoskas go Hollywood" in the Vienna Concert Hall. September 29th, 2017 is the anticipated and sold-out Red Carpet Event, the 10th Annual Hollywood in Vienna Gala. Once again many celebrities are expected to attend. More than 50 media representatives from national and international media outlets have been following Hollywood in Vienna and played a significant role in establishing Vienna as the film and film music capital. Instigator and organizer Sandra Tomek happily mentions: "I am thrilled to see that all of our hard work to bring the Sound of Hollywood to Vienna again has been worthwhile. 10 years ago, I was told that film music in Vienna would not work - and just now there is a 150 million dollar blockbusters soundtrack in the works at the former Rosenhügel-Studios in Hietzing and the year before Dan Brown's "Inferno" soundtrack was recorded at the Vienna Synchron Stage."

The legendary Hotel Imperial, once again, contributes to an unforgettable stay for the guests in Vienna. The Palais-Hotel has been attracting actors, popstars and composers with its gorgeous rooms and suites, since 1873, due to its conviviality, excellent service and state-of-the-art comfort.
