Apparently the call of the Saturday Night Live stage was too strong for Lin-Manuel Miranda to wait for a visit until his hosting gig this upcoming Saturday; everyone's favorite PBS rapper (as Steve Harvey likes to call him) joined the show one week early to appear on the Celebrity Family Feud: Political Edition segment. Of course, as we all know, Miranda's a little busy right now, so comedian Cecily Strong stepped up to fill in for the freestyle icon.

Emmy, Grammy, Tony and Pulitzer Prize-award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda is set to host the Oct. 8 telecast of NBC's SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. Miranda, who is making his "SNL" hosting debut, recently finished his Broadway run as the composer, lyricist and performer in the musical sensation HAMILTON.

Twenty One Pilots will make their "SNL" debut alongside Miranda. The duo (Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun) recently made history, becoming the first alternative group ever with two simultaneous singles in the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 - "Ride," from their multi-platinum studio album "Blurryface," and "Heathens," from "Suicide Squad: The Album."
