Fire Island--The Ice Palace, located within the Grove Hotel (Cherry Grove), has announced "Broadway at the Beach," an open-mic musical theatre party on Fire Island featuring some of Broadway's best.

On Monday, August 28th, from 9pm till midnight, host Brandon Cutrell (MAC- and Bistro Award-winning host of The After Party), with Ray Fellman (Captain Louie) at the piano, will appear for the one-night-only party on Fire Island. There is no cover charge and no minimum. "All audience members are welcome to sing as the mic is always open, or sit back, breathe the ocean air and enjoy a cocktail with friends," state press notes on the event.

On Monday, August 28, "Broadway at the Beach" will welcome Sweeney Todd's Manoel Felciano (2006 Tony Award-nominee), currently starring as Tobias, and Lauren Molina, currently starring as Johanna. Two-time Tony Award-nominee Kevin Chamberlin, currently starring as Amos Hart in Broadways' Chicago, will be on hand to perform a few numbers and hang out with friends and fans.  The party will also feature Justin Bohon (Oklahoma!, All Shook Up), who has been cast as Joly in the upcoming Broadway revival of Les Miserables.  Other guests scheduled to appear include Tory Ross (The Producers film and tour, The Pirates of Penzance at Goodspeed), Garfield Hammond and Kitty Hiccups.

The Ice Palace is located within the Grove Hotel, just steps away from the Cherry Grove ferry pier. There is a full bar and reservations are not necessary for this event.  For more information, visit www.BrandonCutrell.com.
