In a knuckle-biting story of humor, horror, & suspense, a family man robs a thief of a ton of money. Told autobiographically, 1 Small Lie: Martin Dockery is a true-crim thriller set to a propulsive soundtrack and accompanied by a color-changing array of lamps that are controlled by the performer. Like the love child of Breaking Bad, A Simple Plan, and Fargo, this is a tale of deception, small town greed, and an ever-expanding web of lies that'll keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
1 Small Lie: Martin Dockery has enthralled audiences across the continent, winning the Patrons Pick and Outstanding Technical Achievement awards at the Orlando Fringe, the Best International Show at the Saskatoon Fringe, and sold out its runs at the biggest North American fringes in Winnipeg and Edmonton.
Brooklyn-based Martin Dockery spends the majority of the year touring his thirteen one-person shows and eight two-person plays to fringe festivals across the world. He's performed at over 100 festivals and has won over 70 awards along the way. He writes, acts in, and produces all his own work. During the pandemic, Dockery created ten new autobiographical monologues (one every five weeks), entitled RIGHT NOW followed by the name of the month. They can be found by searching for “RIGHT NOW DOCKERY” on YouTube. He has an MFA in playwriting from Columbia University. More at www.martindockery.com.
