Award Winning RWS Entertainment Group Announces 10,000 Square Foot Studio Expansion
RWS Entertainment Group (RWS), a New York based full-service Production Company that creates award-winning custom entertainment, live events and branded experiences worldwide, announced today the expansion of RWS Studios to now consist of a total of ten customized studios for rent, ranging from soundproof music rooms to large column-free rehearsal spaces, in addition to a new state-of-the-art commercial, television and film casting studio. The increased studio space allows RWS to broaden its presence in New York, complementing the company's immense growth within the live entertainment and performing arts industries.
Ryan Stana, founder and CEO of RWS, first opened the Production Company's modern office and studio complex in 2015, after spending years in small Manhattan offices and the company's launch year working out of the corner of his New York apartment. In addition to RWS Studios, the complex includes Wardrobe, Scenic and Prop build shops and storage, Production and Casting offices and an in-house Design Lab.
One of the 10 studios has been converted into a commercial, television and film casting studio to provide the Commercial and Film Casting and Production Departments with a state-of-the-art workspace.
The 19' x 24' studio offers a uniquely large space for casting directors for both on-camera and voice-over projects. Equipped with a Canon HD camera and lighting equipment, the studio provides clients with the necessary tools for on-camera casting needs. The enclosed 10' x 6' sound booth includes recording equipment and a MacBook Pro for quick voice-over upload.
The new studios are already booked with early renters. Clientele include celebrity artists, Broadway shows and national tours, regional theatres and various production companies. With such a demand for rehearsal space and the rapid growth of RWS as a company, the complex will continue to expand to meet client and corporate needs.
Producing hundreds of shows a year, RWS' internal teams frequently utilize the studio space for their own casting and rehearsals. Launching RWS' 2019 Audition Tour, RWS casting directors joined with RWS acquisition, Binder Casting, on January 8 for their first combined audition in an unprecedented opportunity for talent to perform in front of both casting teams at once. The new studio spaces allowed RWS to accommodate over 400 hopefuls to be seen simultaneously for Broadway, film, regional theatre and commercial casting opportunities, as well as theme park and cruise ship entertainment opportunities.
"In just fifteen years since the launch of RWS, the company has seen tremendous growth in both clientele and production, so it is only fitting that our office and studio space reflect this development," said Stana. "This expansion allows us to better service the needs of our clients as casting, design, development, production and rehearsals for our live productions are now all handled internally under one roof. This vertical alignment allows for the furthering of RWS' global expansion."
These additions extend the already impressive RWS complex that boasts accommodations to offer creatives and performers everything they need to create and rehearse. Hired talent are housed in fully furnished RWS apartments, 5,000 square feet in total. Adjacent to RWS Studios, these apartments allow performers the chance to live and rehearse in the hub of Broadway and theatre.
Celebrating fifteen years in business, RWS is North America's largest provider of branded stage shows and experiences, providing a full-service approach to custom entertainment for clients that range from NBCUniversal and Westfield to Macy's and Mattel. Working with clients such as Holland America Line, Azamara Club Cruises and Hard Rock Resorts International, RWS is now the foremost turn-key solution in the industry, providing full design and installation services for interactive experiences, theming, decor, and more to create one-of-a-kind immersive experiences.
