Dance Umbrella has announced that its application to Arts Council England (ACE) for National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) funding has been successful.

The organisation has been awarded a grant of £1,056,084 for the next three years (2015/16 to 2017/18), a continuation of the current funding level. This endorsement from ACE means that Dance Umbrella can continue to support the development of outstanding talent from around the world and engage Londoners with exciting 21st century choreography.

Emma Gladstone, Dance Umbrella's Artistic Director and Chief Executive comments:

'We are delighted that our application to ACE for NPO funding has been successful today. It's great news for Dance Umbrella's future engagement with artists and public alike, and provides a secure base for us to realise our ambitious goals for the next few years. This includes outer London touring, commissioning new work, talent development, and programming regular strands of work for children and young people. Dance is reaching ever greater audiences, a fact that has been recognised in the art form's significant success and increased profile in today's funding announcements.'
