On Thursday, March 10, 2022, Wharton Institute for the Performing Arts will honor world-renowned singer, composer, comedian, and multi-instrumentalist Paul Shaffer with its Lifetime Achievement Award at the 'Together We Celebrate' Annual Gala. 

Winners of the 1974 Eurovision with their song Waterloo, ABBA had a flurry of catchy tunes that dominated the pop charts for 12 years. In 1992, Abba released their album Gold, which has sold over 30 million copies and is one of the best-selling albums worldwide.

 Skylight Music Theatre today announced the cast and creative team for Raisin, running April 8-24, 2022. Raisin is an uplifting musical adaptation of the award-winning play, A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry. Raisin won the 1974 Tony Award and the 1975 Grammy Award for Best Musical.

The Righteous Brothers - Bill Medley and Bucky Heard revive the iconic music of the legendary group on the Popejoy Hall stage Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 3 pm. Hope Mill Theatre has announced that this Christmas it will stage the first new UK production of The Wiz: The Super Soul Musical “Wonderful Wizard of Oz” in 10 years. With music and lyrics by Charlie Smalls, book by William F. Brown and original orchestrations by Harold Wheeler, The Wiz is a retelling of L. Frank Baum's classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

The wait is over! Popejoy Hall announces the 2020-2021 season headlined by HAMILTON.

a??a??a??a??a??a??a??Consider this entry from the 'If at first you don't succeed' department. A young television writer is recruited to write a book for the musical SHINBONE ALLEY. Haven't heard of it? That's not too surprising. It lasted a little over a month and closed on Broadway after 49 performances. Undaunted, he writes the first act for another musical, ALL-AMERICAN five years later. It also flops, closing on Broadway after 80 performances.

Several Downtown legends are congregating at the alt-cabaret hotspot Pangea in Marcha?? Among the headliners taking risks and breaking ground are Penny Arcade with her new show, a?oeNotes from the Undergrounda?? (March 4 & 18); David Cale, with new show a?oeSandraa??
