It's a strange old time right now, with our beloved theatre community mourning the loss of jobs, of creative outlets, and of the human connections that theatre is so brilliant at creating. This collective grief is felt over at BroadwayWorld UK too, and we want to do what we can to continue celebrating the industry we love so much, so we've launched a series of features that celebrate musicals and plays from days gone by.

The 2020 Piatigorsky International Cello Festival, listed by The New York Times as a classical season highlight, comes to Los Angeles March 13 -22, presented by the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, with support from The Strad and classical music radio KUSC.

This February, six exceptionally talented young artists from the world-renowned Kronberg Academy in Germany travel to New York City to make their Carnegie Hall debut over four concerts in Weill Recital Hall and Zankel Hall. Current students - violinist Stephen Waarts, cellist Jonathan Roozeman, and pianists Jean-Sélim Abdelmoula and Mishka Rushdie Momen - along with alumni violinist Marc Bouchkov and violist Matthew Lipman present a wide range of repertoire in programs that reflect the individuality and artistry honed during their studies at the prestigious Academy. In two matinee programs, these musicians perform alongside Kronberg Academy faculty members and acclaimed soloists - violist Antoine Tamestit and cellist Gary Hoffman - while in two evening programs the students and alumni showcase solo and chamber works.

Five-time Grammy Award-winning rock band Green Day unleash their latest single, “Oh Yeah!' from their new album, Father Of All… available February 7th on Reprise/Warner Records. “Oh Yeah!” follows #1 rock single and title track “Father Of All…,” which they recently performed live on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve to kick off the new year. Green Day will also perform at the 2020 NHL® All-Star Game in St. Louis in primetime on Saturday, Jan. 25 on NBC in the U.S. and on CBC, Sportsnet and TVA Sports in Canada at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT.

Today Colorado Ballet kicks-off a campaign to raise funds to support the creation of new sets and costumes for its production of The Nutcracker, which audiences will see for the first time during the company's 60th anniversary production of The Nutcracker in 2020.

The National Hockey League (NHL®) today announced it has entered into a two-year, cross-platform marketing and promotional partnership with five-time Grammy Award-winning band Green Day. To launch the partnership, NHL fans will get a sneak peek to a yet to be released song called a?oeFire, Ready, Aim,a?? off Green Day's forthcoming thirteenth studio album, a?oeFather Of Alla?? a?oe (Reprise/Warner Records), which will serve as the opening theme song for NBCSN's Wednesday Night Hockey, debuting with the New Jersey Devils vs. Philadelphia Flyers game on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. In addition, a?oeFire, Ready, Aima?? will be featured on NHL on NBC  broadcasts throughout the 2019-20 season.

New York City's largest outdoor Oktoberfest festival, OktoberFest NYC 2019 kicks off on Friday, September 13th, one week in advance of the official start of the famous German festival, at Watermark Bar at Pier 15. The open-air, family-friendly festival will run from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. each Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine, from September 13th to October 20th with up to 150,000 guests expected over the six weekends.

Pianist, singer and songwriter Bruce Hornsby's Summer Tour Kicks Off Tomorrow, June 18 inCharleston, SC. Bristol Riverside Theatre kicks off its Summer Music Fest series with Love Is Here To Stay running June 13 - 23. Filled with hit after hit, Love Is Here To Stay features the standards in pop culture we'll never forget. You'll enjoy songs like "It Had to Be You", "Just in Time, and "Ain't Misbehavin'". Led by Keith Baker and the BRT Concert Band, the program features BRT favorites Demetria Joyce Bailey, Laura Giknis, Yanellie Pabon-Garcia, Keith Spencer, and Kevin Toniazzo-Naughton.

Popular swing band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will perform one show on Thursday, June 6 at Bristol Riverside Theatre. Tickets are on sale now for the 8pm performance.
