Season of Seven Billion Hot Dogs Begins

The Memorial Day weekend Kicks off the summer grilling season and Americans will once again celebrate with a favorite food: hot dogs. The National Hot Dog and Sausage Council (NHDSC) estimates that Americans will eat seven billion hot dogs during the season which runs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. That's 818 hot dogs per second and more than a third of the hot dogs eaten per year. (more...)

Larry Gatlin Kicks-Off Summer Season at Spencer Theater

Headlining the Spencer Theater Summer Season 2017 is the classic country praise music of The Blackwood Quartet and the legendary Larry Gatlin of The Gatlin Brothers on Saturday, May 27 at 8 p.m. (Concert tickets are $39-$69). This promises to be a night of pure western-styled gospel beauty with the Blackwood's favorite Christian melodies like How Great Thou Art, Put Your Hand In The Hand, The Light House, Amazing Grace, Peace In The Valley, and many other gospel classics. Western great Larry Gatlin (pictured above), the eldest of the three Gatlin Brothers and writer of all their greatest hits including All The Gold In California and Houston, holds some of the most prestigious awards in the industry. His showcase of gospel and Gatlin favorites will open the second set of music that night, following The Blackwood Quartet (pictured left). The duo of headliners will then come together in our stage lights for an extended encore of songs.  This special evening is being sponsored in-part by Lynn & Bruce Morgan and Sandra & David Barrett. Cockpit In Court to present ARSENIC AND OLD LACE

Cockpit In Court Summer Theatre Kicks off its Forty-Fifth season with style.  The main stage theatre will be named after founding Artistic Director, F. Scott Black, in June.  To honor this event, F Scott Black is directing the classic dark comedy Arsenic and Old Lace, in the main stage theatre.  This will be the first play on the main stage at Cockpit in Court patrons have been able to see in years.  Individual tickets are $22 adults, $20 senior adults, and $14 for students and Children 12 & under.  Performances are June 9th through June 25th. CBMF's season, entitled “Identity Unmasked,” will explore identity and its revelation or masking. The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center and AEG Presents announced today that tickets for Rhett & Link's Tour of Mythicality will go on sale Friday, May 19 at 10 a.m.  Mythical Entertainment announced today the first ever tour from award-winning comedians and YouTube sensations Rhett & Link, in celebration of the release of their debut book "Rhett & Link's Book of Mythicality."  The Tour of Mythicality Kicks-off in New York on October 13 and will feature a blend of comedic yet personal storytelling, performances of their hit songs, offbeat life advice, and fan Q&A.  The Rhett & Link's Book of Mythicality tour will hit Dallas on Saturday, October 21, 2018 for two shows at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Majestic Theatre.
