Mötley Crüe: The End – Live In Los Angeles fully captures the energy and emotion of the evening on December 31, 2015 when legendary rock icons Mötley Crüe completed their 35-year touring career as a band with a spectacular final concert, “The End” at Staples Center in their hometown of Los Angeles, CA.

What did our critic think of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF at The Gateway Playhouse?

If you asked me about important works of twentieth century literature, I'll rattle off all the obvious ones like The Great Gatsby and Death of a Salesman, but I'll also make a case for the first ten years of The Simpsons as an essential piece of American literature. Hyper-referential, joke dense, topical and infinitely quotable, so many of the idioms of the twentieth century began in The Simpsons that it's earned a place beside Mark Twain for its quotes alone. Mark Hollman and Greg Kotis's musical Urinetown may style itself as a satirical twist on Brecht and Blitzstein, but any media-savvy viewer will immediately recognize that Matt Groening and Conan O'Brien are its real artistic forefathers.

Linwood Regensburg shares, “Make a Joke,” another tease of the forthcoming album Quilt Floor from Mama Zu. The LP represents the collaborative effort between Linwood and Jessi Zazu, the late frontwoman of Those Darlins, who tragically passed away from cancer. The album serves as a poignant culmination of their musical journey together. 

Hello Dolly! Opened on Broadway in 1964 with the irrepressible, wide-eyed, charismatic Carol Channing in the title role, winning 10 Tony’s including Best Musical and Best Actress for Channing. The show was her signature and, to understate, she held it close. An understudy once remarked that she was looking forward to subbing in for her. “Don’t hold your breath, sister”. Channing played the part over 5000 times.

The Ishara International Puppet Theatre Festival is set to captivate audiences once again with its 20th edition. The festival is scheduled to run from 16th to 25th February 2024 at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi and Tagore Theatre in Chandigarh. It is produced by Teamwork Arts and is largely supported by the Ishara Puppet Theatre Trust.

What did our critic think of FOOTLOOSE at CMPAC? In 1984, Footloose starring Kevin Bacon, danced its way on to the big screen. While it was not well received by the film critics, it did manage to resonate with audiences.

A NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN makes its UK premiere at the Peacock Theatre, Sadlers Wells' home in the West End, on 20 August starring Mary Bridget Davies as Janis, running until 28 September 2024.

This cast is professional grade. As an ensemble, they are tight and respond well with each other. I loved watching them all interact and go through the scenes. They kept the dialogue flowing and comical.
