BWW speaks to Dominic Frisby about his 2016 Edinburgh Fringe show Let's Talk About Tax.

Tell us a bit about Let's Talk About Tax
It is an attempt to marry comedy with the ostensibly dull but deeply important subject that is taxation.

Why is talking about tax so important?
Tax is the defining issue of our age. In fact, it is the defining issue of any age. Tax has shaped history. And nobody talks about it. We look at the past, present and future through the prism of taxation.

Why did you decide to bring this to the Fringe?
I've not been here since 2003. It's about time. Ten years away from comedy obsessing about economics and finance has to be exorcised.

Who would you recommend comes to see Let's Talk About Tax?
Anyone who is interested in how the world has got itself into its current state. In particular, I'm looking to persuade the Guardian-reading left-winger that the state is not the best way to provide such services as healthcare, education and welfare to a high standard consistently over time.

Are there any other performances you're hoping to catch at the festival?
Yes. The Upper-Class Rapper and Matt Forde.
