Nathan Lane to Join Tyne Daly and Terrence McNally for MOTHERS AND SONS Talkback, 4/23

The new Broadway play Mothers and Sons from 4-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally, now playing at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street), will hold a special talkback on Wednesday, April 23rd with Terrence McNally and Tyne Daly joined by fellow Tony Award winner Nathan Lane, who previously worked with McNally on Love! Valour! Compassion!; Bad Habits; Lips Together, Teeth Apart; Dedication or the Stuff of Dreams; and the film version of Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. On the Main Stage: Festival veterans including Nate Corddry, Holley Fain, Christopher Fitzgerald and Nancy Opel join the cast of June Moon, directed by Jessica Stone (July 2- 13); Justin Long returns to Williamstown, joining Renee Fleming in the World Premiere of Living on Love(July 16 - 26), and theater veterans Judy Kuhn, Howard McGillin, festival favorite Roger Rees, and more join Chita Rivera in the John Doyle-directed production of The Visit, with choreography by Graciela Daniele (July 31 - August 17). Deborah Voigt Comes to Bing Concert Hall Tonight

This month, Deborah Voigt embarks on a spring recital tour that will place the superstar soprano on both coasts for a program of songs by Amy Beach, Leonard Bernstein, William Bolcom, Ben Moore, Richard Strauss and Tchaikovsky. She said of the recital repertoire: 'It gives me a chance to show a side of my personality that doesn't come out when I'm singing all these very serious heroines' (South Florida Classical Review). Joined by her long-time collaborative pianist, Brian Zeger, artistic director of the vocal arts department at Juilliard, Voigt launches her new tour at the McCallum Theater in Palm Desert, California, on April 8. She makes her debut at Stanford University's Bing Concert Hall on April 11, and on April 13 she sings at the new Green Music Center on the Sonoma State University campus. Voigt continues the tour on the East Coast with a return engagement in the 75th anniversary season of Boston's popular Celebrity Series, and on May 10 she returns to the Met to host the 'Live in HD' broadcast of Rossini's La Cenerentola. The Old Globe today announced that two-time Golden Globe Award nominee Blair Underwood-who most recently made his acclaimed Broadway debut in the iconic role of Stanley in Tennessee Williams's A Streetcar Named Desire and garnered rave reviews opposite Cicely Tyson in Lifetime's The Trip to Bountiful-will make his Globe debut in the title role of Shakespeare's classic tragedy Othello, the first show of the Globe's 2014 Summer Shakespeare Festival. Underwood's films include Something New, Deep Impact, Gattaca, and Rules of Engagement, and his television credits include 'Ironside,' 'In Treatment,' 'The New Adventures of Old Christine,' and 'Sex and the City.'
