Get to know the judges for the high school and college categories on season 3 of Next on Stage, back again by popular demand!

BroadwayWorld is thrilled to announce that Next on Stage is BACK for season 3! Inspired by your favorite network TV singing contests, the site is inviting high school and college aged students to submit videos of themselves performing a song from the musical theatre canon to enter the competition.

Jenrette will share the story of a young Black girl who goes on a journey to combat obesity and free herself from her family’s “big boned” label. Kessler will explore obesity in comedy and speak to some of today’s biggest comedians about the weight of being overweight.

Greg Silverman's Stampede and Peter Lawson's Steel Springs Pictures announced today that they will produce and co-finance the feature film ALICE, which Krystin Ver Linden will direct from her original screenplay. The film will mark Stampede's second feature to go into production and the first feature made under Peter Lawson's Steel Springs Pictures banner. Filming is due to commence in Louisiana in early 2020.   

Deadline reports that actress Shailene Woodley has joined After Exile, which already signed Robert De Niro and Shia LaBeouf. Joshua Michael Stern directs. The script is based on events in scribe Michael Tovo's life--the movie is co-written by Anthony Thorne.
