Palo Alto Players opens its 93rd season with the hit Broadway musical MATILDA. Based on the book “Matilda” by Roald Dahl, the joyous girl power romp is packed with high-energy dance numbers and fresh, clever songs.

Theatre 29 will hold open auditions for the dramatized Roald Dahl classic children’s story, 'The Witches.', on Monday, August 14th at 6:00pm on the Theatre 29 Main Stage (73637 Sullivan Road, Twentynine Palms). Based on the book “The Witches” by Roald Dahl and faithfully adapted by David Wood, this production will magically appear on the Theatre 29 stage October 6 – 22.  Debut Director Nena Jimenez is looking for a cast of men and women over the age of 15. There are 2 roles for boys 10 – 13 age range, but no other children’s roles.

The full cast for the musical stage adaptation of best-selling novel The Book Thief has been announced, which includes Coventry local Daniel Krikler as 'Max Vandenburg'.

Based on the character at the center of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Timothée Chalamet introduce audiences to a young Willy Wonka. In celebration of 90 Years of Theatre By The Sea (TBTS), owner and producer Bill Hanney has announced the summer schedule for Theatre By The Sea's 2023 Children's Festival. Performances will be held on select Fridays in July and August.

Matilda JR. begins rehearsals and will run at The Gateway Playhouse on Fridays and Saturdays from June 7 – July 15, 2023.

Every once in a while there's something extraordinary. To change the world all it takes is a little genius. This summer, Mill Mountain Theatre will present Roald Dahl's 'Matilda the Musical!'

The UK tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was forced to cancel a recent performance due to heat concerns.

This touring production is the first to include female actresses included as regular Charlie Bucket performers. This is just one of the ways that inclusion has been developed into this production as scenes with Charlie’s mother, performed here by Leonie Spilsbury, see the actors very effortlessly include BSL as part of their character communication with each other.
