​​​​​​​VocalEssence, one of the world's premier choral music organizations, is gearing up for its 'speed limit' season-55 years of making music and celebrating the joy of singing together. In honor of this auspicious occasion the new season will feature collaborations with the St. Olaf Choir, the Bach Society of Minnesota, and Northrop, as well as exciting commissions by vocal activist Melanie DeMore, Latvian composer Ēriks Ešenvalds, and Minnesotans Jocelyn Hagen and Kyle Pederson.

Tina Turner, the 'Queen of Rock'n Roll' has died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland.  With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model. 

Few people knew John Lennon as intimately as May Pang. Pang was Lennon's lover during the infamous 'Lost Weekend' which lasted 18 months during late 1973 through 1975. During this highly creative time for Lennon, Pang took candid photos of Lennon in a comfortable, relaxed environment.

For one night only, audiences are invited to take a trip back to a golden era and enjoy a special live performance of the iconic Frank Sinatra album, Songs for Swingin' Lovers!, performed by world-leading Frank Sinatra artist, Stephen Triffitt.

Next month, 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club & Private Event Destination, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond. A recipient of the 2022 Tony Awards Honor for Excellence in the Theatre, 54 Below celebrates Broadway musicals and writers of the past and present, promoting an ongoing engagement with their work.

The bulk of production and engineering on Beneath the Brightest Smiles was handled by Gordon Raphael with mixing by Dave Rowland (Post Malone, The-Dream, Pusha T, Ellie Goulding) at Mercy Sound Recording Studios (Blondie, Cher, Snoop Dogg, TV On The Radio, Yoko Ono, Katy Perry, Demi Lovato) in NYC’s East Village.

A collection of these private photographs will be on display and available for purchase at City Winery, Fashion District at East Market, 990 Filbert Street in Philadelphia on Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16.
