The composer/lyricist mentioned that he had heard of a production of Company that ended with Bobby committing suicide by shooting himself.

 Emmy, Grammy, and Six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald will return to Broadway this season starring in Ohio State Murders by Adrienne Kennedy, directed by Tony Award winner Kenny Leon  (Fences, A Soldier’s Play).

On Thursday, May 19, 2022, the day before the Drama League Awards, Drama League President Bonnie Comley and husband/Tony Winner Stewart F. Lane welcomed the 2022 Directing Fellows at The Players Club in New York City!

On Friday, May 20, 2022, one hour before the Drama League Awards, Board President Bonnie Comley, Kirk Iwanowski, Mary Jain, and the Board Hosted a VIP Reception at the Drama League Awards right next to the Ziegfeld Ballroom. While the Drama League Distinguished Performance nominees were lining up for the dais, a cocktail party was in full swing in the adjacent ballroom.

A Soulful Heart will be donating a portion of the proceeds from its 1st Annual George Floyd Memorial Concert, to be held on May 24, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. at The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street).

The John Gore Organization has announced that their 14-week paid fellowship program, in a landmark partnership with the Black Theatre Coalition, concluded with a trip to New York City in April.

Honoring achievements on and Off-Broadway, the nominations were announced this morning by Denée Benton and André De Shields at the official announcement event held at the New York Library for the Performing Arts.
