The organizers behind California's favorite winter film festival, Mammoth Film Festival, are thrilled to announce their 2020 lineup. Award-winning actor Sir Patrick Stewart, best known for his work in the Star Trek and X-Men series, will receive this year's Distinguished Artisan Award at the 7th Annual  Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards (MUAHS, IATSE Local 706) celebrating his prolific acting career on stage and screen spanning nearly six decades. The black-tie awards gala, honoring outstanding achievements of both make-up artists and hair stylists in motion pictures, television, commercials and live theater, returns to The Novo in L.A. LIVE on Saturday, January 11, 2020. The announcement was made today by Julie Socash, President of IATSE Local 706.

 The Hollywood Film Awards announced today that highly-acclaimed artists Antonio Banderas, Renée Zellweger, Al Pacino and Laura Dern will be honored at the 23rd Annual “Hollywood Film Awards.”  Banderas will receive the “Hollywood Actor Award” for his poignant turn in Pedro Almodóvar's 21st film, “Pain and Glory” and Zellweger will receive the “Hollywood Actress Award” for her powerful portrayal of the iconic Judy Garland in Rupert Goold's “Judy.”  Pacino will receive the “Hollywood Supporting Actor Award” for his brilliant depiction of the infamous Jimmy Hoffa in Martin Scorsese's mob masterpiece “The Irishman,” and Dern will receive the “Hollywood Supporting Actress Award” for her commanding performance as a hard-hitting divorce attorney in Noah Baumbach's “Marriage Story.”  Actor and comedian Rob Riggle will host the ceremony, which will take place on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA.

CBS All Access, CBS' digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service, today announced that Greg Kinnear has joined the cast of its original limited event series THE STAND, based on Stephen King's bestselling novel of the same name. Kinnear joins previously announced cast members James Marsden, Amber Heard, Heather Graham, Odessa Young, Jovan Adepo, Owen Teague, Henry Zaga, Brad William Henke, Eion Bailey, Katherine McNamara, Hamish Linklater, Alexander Skarsgård and Whoopi Goldberg.

According to Variety, actress Amandy Seyfried has joined David Fincher's 'Mank,' a biopic about Herman Mankiewicz. Mankiewicz was the screenwriter on 'Citizen Kane.'

Deadline reports that 'Westworld' actor Jeffrey Wright is in talks to join the Robert Pattinson-led DC film 'The Batman.' Wright would play Commissioner James Gordon.

Joana Vicente and Cameron Bailey, Co-Heads of TIFF, today announced that three-time Academy Award winner Meryl Streep will be honoured with the TIFF Tribute Actor Award, Sponsored by RBC at this year's new TIFF Tribute Gala awards event. Scott Mescudi , better known by his stage name Kid Cudi has joined the growing cast of the much anticipated third installment of Bill & Ted. Mescudi joins previously announced cast Alex Winter, Keanu Reeves, William Sadler, Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine. Mescudi has a significant role, though details are being kept under wraps. 

Take a trip to the Wizarding World as Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in Concert will play at the Walmart AMP Oct. 12.

The Hogwarts Express will be making a stop at Jacoby Symphony Hall Oct. 12-13 as the Jacksonville Symphony presents Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in Concert.
