    On Sunday 28 September, Liam Mower will join the cast of Billy Elliot the Musical for a special performance to be broadcast live from the Victoria Palace Theatre to cinemas across the UK and around the world. Mower, who will play the role of Older Billy, originated the role of Billy Elliot in 2005 along with George Maguire and James Lomas, and was the first boy ever to play the role on stage. (more...)

    According to the Daily Mail, the original Billy Elliot -- Liam Mower -- is returning to the musical for one night only as part of its BILLY ELLIOT LIVE special performance on September 28. The event will be broadcast in UK cinemas, live from the Victoria Palace Theatre.     Tony-nominee and Obie and Theatre World Award winner Adam Pascal, has created some of the most memorable roles in recent Broadway history. He shot to stardom for originating the role of Roger in the Broadway blockbuster 'Rent,' as well as the London production, and starred in the film version. On July 26 and 27 he returns to the acclaimed, original Broadway @ The Art House series, where he joins pianist and host Seth Rudetsky for an unforgettable evening of conversation and song. This marks his first return to Provincetown stages since debuting with the Art House series in its inaugural season of 2011. Adam also originated the role of Radames in Elton John and Tim Rice's 'Aida,' and was featured as the Emcee in the critically acclaimed revival of 'Cabaret' directed by Sam Mendes.     Point Foundation (Point) will present its Leadership Award to songwriter Diane Warren, whose work has been recognized with Grammy and Golden Globe awards and multiple Academy Award nominations. The Point Leadership Award is given to an individual who has achieved prominence in their professional career and unequivocally supported the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community. Warren has repeatedly spoken out against bigotry of all kinds, including discrimination directed at the LGBTQ community. The 'It Gets Better' musical theater project that is touring the U.S. in support of LGBTQ youth includes songs of Warren's alongside those of Gnarls Barkley, Kelly Clarkson and Alanis Morissette.
