STAGES St. Louis has announced the full cast of their 2023 production of Elton John & Tim Rice's AIDA, performing June 2 - July 2 at The Ross Family Theatre at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center.

Rehearsals are underway for the world premiere musical Skates! American Idol favorites Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young lead the incredible cast of the new musical featuring Adam Fane, Kelly Felthous, Cory Goodrich, Emma Lord, Jason Richards, Kelvin Roston, Jr., Michelle Lauto, Zach Sorrow, Trey Deluna and Adia Bell. 

America’s next big musical sensation has its cast! American Idol favorites Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young will lead the incredible cast of the new musical, Skates.

The nominees include Diana the Musical, with Jeanna de Waal, Roe Hartrampf, Erin Davie, Judy Kaye, Gareth Keegan, Christopher Ashley, Joe DiPierto, and David Bryan. American Idol favorites Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young return to lead a stellar cast in this completely original, family-friendly musical, co-created by Christine Rea (book/lyrics) and Rick Briskin (music/lyrics), with direction by Brenda Didier, choreography by Christopher Chase Carter and music direction by Daniel A. Art Lab and ShowTown Productions just announced that Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young – former “American Idol” contestants who are married in real life – will co-star in a new virtual production of the 2013 Broadway musical comedy, First Date. The production, directed by Meg Fofonoff, will stream for five performances from July 23-25 on the ticketing platform, Stellar.

With nearly all of Chicago's theatre productions shuttered, one of the first fundraisers primarily aimed at a streaming audience is being put together by The Beautiful City Project, a Chicago-based musical theatre company that exists solely as a fundraising arm for local charities and non-profits.

HIT HER WITH THE SKATES, a new musical about life, love and the roller rink starring American Idol power couple Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young, has announced full casting for the world premiere of the Chicago production at the Royal George Theatre, 1641 North Halsted St., Chicago, IL, on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. Preview performances are slated to begin March 10.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series presented “American Idol” success stories Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young, who performed “DnA – The Music That Makes Us” on Monday, October 21.

Mr. and Mrs. Young, Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young, bring their first ever duo concert to Birdland for a special one-night event that, hopefully, will become the first of many because the evening was a rollicking night of fun and feels, not to mention astonishingly good music.

Birdland will kick-off their exciting month of programming with the following acts:

BroadwayWorld has learned that that Broadway Stars and real-life couple Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young will headline the First National Tour of the musical comedy First Date. Although DeGarmo and Young were both contestants on 'American Idol,' their 'first date' was during the Broadway production of HAIR in 2010. After dating for three years, they tied the knot in 2013 and immediately starred in the National Tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. They will share the stage once again beginning fall of 2020. First Date is written by Austin Winsberg (book) with Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner (music and lyrics) and this newly updated production will be directed by Matt DiCarlo (NYNational Tour: The Play That Goes Wrong). Royal Family Productions will present a special invite-only reading of the musical Rock and Roll Refugee. Written by Chris Henry and Genya Ravan, directed by JoAnn Hunter with musical direction by Daniel A.
