Broadway might be dark, but that doesn't mean that theatre isn't happening everywhere! Below, check out where you can get your daily fix of Broadway this weekend, February 27-28, 2020.

Themes include gay life in the '80s to the concept of gender reveal. Registering for a link will allow you to watch all the plays performing in that time slot. None of these plays in the festival have been performed before. So you're getting the first look at some of the most exciting and upcoming cutting edge plays that the festival has to offer.

The three upcoming readings are: Alice Childress’s Trouble in Mind, directed by Awoye Timpo; George Bernard Shaw’s Arms and the Man, directed by 2020 SAG Award nominee, Obie Award winner, and Tony Award nominee Colman Domingo; and Thornton Wilder’s The Matchmaker, directed by Dawn Monique Williams.

Triangle Rainbow Theater creative director Anthony Fusco will be presenting it's first annual LGBTQ Short Play Festival of one acts on Saturday February 27th & Sunday February 28th @ 3:00PM & 5:00PM, and Saturday March 6th & Sunday March 7th @ 3:00PM EST.

Aurora Theatre Company kicks off its 29th season with the original World Premiere Audio Drama THE FLATS, jointly written by playwrights Lauren Gunderson, Cleavon Smith, and Jonathan Spector (Eureka Day). Artistic Director Josh Costello (Exit Strategy, The Importance of Being Earnest, Eureka Day, Detroit) directs this new story that speaks directly to our present moment in all its complexity.

2nd Chance a one act LGBT drama by Anthony Fusco and directed by Van Dirk Fisher, will be presented on Thursday evening August 20, 2020 @ 8:00pm est livestreaming via zoom as a virtual play reading.

Aurora Theatre Company continues its dynamic 28th season with the World Premiere of Christopher Chen's THE RULER, an Aurora Originate + Generate commission. Becca Wolf makes her Aurora debut directing this new political drama.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley presents the Northern California Premiere of Laurel Ollstein's They Promised Her the Moon. This riveting play shares the incredible, true story of Jerrie Cobb, a world record-holding female aviator who dreamt of flying among the stars. At the height of the Space Race, Cobb and her female peers in the Mercury 13 program trained to become astronauts, ready to join their male counterparts in space and change history, but they never got the chance.

ENTR'ACTE written by Anthony Fusco and directed by Katherine Yacko opens this Sunday Feb 16th @ 6:00pm and Monday Feb 17th @ 8:30pm at Theater 54 @ Shetler Studios 244 W 54 St NYC 12th Floor. Featuring: Clay Von Carlowitz and Peter Tarantino.
