Currently on its third season of sold-out performances, "Broadway au Carré" is the leading American musical theatre Concert + Open Mic series in Paris, conceived and directed by Lisandro Nesis.

Once a month, you can kick off your Thursday evening at the Comédie Nation with a cabaret concert by a featured performer, followed by an open mic, where some of the best local artists gather to belt out their favorite Broadway show tunes. Broadway au Carré also features a new American musical theatre composer each month, with a set of songs that have never been performed in Europe before.

Every season, several American composers also come to Paris to work hand in hand with the performers of Broadway au Carré and present full productions, readings or concerts of their new musicals. And every year, the Parisian team of Broadway au Carré goes to New York to present a show in a prestigious venue (54 Below, Duplex Cabaret Theatre) with the American composers that were featured in Paris as well as many important Broadway guests.

Thursday, September 3rd will be the Broadway au Carré's third season premiere, marking the transfer of the series to its new home: the beautiful theatre Comédie Nation. To celebrate the occasion, Broadway au Carré welcomes to Paris the American songwriter Drew Fornarola (Tianenmen, College the Musical), who will present a concert of his songs with a cast of Parisian performers selected by Broadway au Carré. The concert will be followed by an open mic, where all the American musical theatre lovers can get on stage and sing their favorite show tunes.

With: Drew Fornarola, Lauren Berkman, Vincent Gilliéron, Sonia Kiang, Lisandro Nesis, Marina Pangos and Tatiana Santini. Piano: John Florencio. Directed by Amanda Bestor-Siegal.

Broadway au Carré takes place at Comédie Nation located at 77, rue de Montreuil, 75011 Paris, France. Doors open at 7 pm, showtime at 7:30 pm followed by an Open Mic at 9 pm. 13€ / 10€ (students) cover charge includes a drink. Online reservations required at www.comedienation.fr .
