SiriusXM Broadway host Seth Rudetsky will host and music direct Not Since High School, a benefit concert that showcases Broadway performers singing the classic roles they played as teens while wearing braces and/or breaking out. Scheduled performers include Sierra Boggess, Mario Cantone, Jerry Dixon, Christine Ebersole, James Monroe Iglehart, LaChanze, Jose Llana, Julia Murney, Anthony Rapp, Emily Skinner, Keala Settle, and more. Not Since High School will take place on Sunday, August 24th at 7:30 PM at 42West (512 West 42nd Street). All proceeds from this concert will benefit the music program at MS 245, a public middle school in New York City. Tickets are $45 or $100 for VIP seating (with special treats!).

This is the second time Mr. Rudetsky has done this type of concert. The first one featured Norbert Leo Butz, Lisa Lampanelli, Mandy Gonzales, Corbin Bleu and more. (Highlights are featured in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWE-TdH2pYw). At the upcoming benefit concert, roles performed will include Sarah Brown from Guys and Dolls, Seymor from Little Shop, Rizzo from Grease -- as well as ones that are hilariously inappropriate for teens, like Carlotta from Follies ("I'm Still Here" sung at age 15).

Says Mr. Rudetsky, "When I was growing up, I was able to take chorus, chorale, special chorus, band, orchestra and theater. All part of the regular school day! Now public schools have cut most of the arts and they are only available after school with an incredibly limited budget. I wound up volunteering as the chorus teacher in my kid's middle school because they didn't have one. I want kids growing up today to have the same opportunities my generation had, or we'll miss out on the next generation of artistic titans. Kids won't know if they have talent as a musician, actor artist etc. if they don't have the chance to try it."

42West is located at 512 West 42nd street and is midtown's new 14,000 square foot blank canvas. The multimedia, multipurpose events and performance space is adjacent to The OUT Hotel and KTCHN Restaurant located at 514 W. 42nd St. The venue comes equipped with a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system that can be used for live musical performances, off-Broadway theatrical productions, screenings, gallery exhibits, dance, cabaret and special events. 42West offers clients a seamless booking and execution of events involving any combination of hotel rooms, event spaces and catering.
