Fashion designer Zac Posen and Charles James exhibition co-curator Jan Glier Reeder discuss James's glamour, technique, and enduring impact on fashion in general, and on Posen in particular. From elements in Posen's first collection to gowns he designed for certain guests at this year's Met Gala, his work has often been inspired by James. At the June 22 event, Posen will opine on James's draping, cut, and ubiquitous rule-breaking.This program is held in conjunction with The Costume Institute exhibition Charles James: Beyond Fashion, which is on view at the Met through August 10, 2014.This event is free with museum admission.
