These performers may have received other awards and accolades, but a Tony Award is shockingly not on their résumé.

Friendship is nearly always a side element in musicals. From the comic sidekick of the leading character to the backup pals who provide background vocals, friends are part of the fabric of many shows—but rarely are they the main event. 

There’s a strange dichotomy that exists in live theater. I may not like the material, but will still find reason to love its execution. And at Theater West End, they’ve culled together a company of players who help elevate the material of POTUS into a comedy that now exists thanks to their approach to the characters. They form a symbiotic relationship with the audience throughout the two acts to make us still care for them, for their arcs, and for their resolutions – no matter how far-fetched it may seem. This is where the production of POTUS shines.

This May, Regal is showcasing theatrical showpieces with its Musical Mayhem series, with screenings of musicals like Chicago, Funny Girl, Hairspray, and Mamma Mia!, among others. Take a look at the full lineup and schedule below.

On April 13, 2026, YI Love Jewish will present GOD & THE HOLOCAUST, a multi-media concert at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center, honoring the memory and resilience of Holocaust victims.

Manhattan Concert Productions will continue its acclaimed Broadway Series with Jane Eyre, coming to David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center in 2026. The concert will be led by Erika Henningsen as the title character and Ramin Karimloo as Rochester. We have all of the details! here!

Somers Point's Gateway Playhouse has announced that original Broadway cast member of the international hit, Jonathan Larson's “RENT,” and Obie Award-winner, Anthony Rapp, will teach a master class to the all-teenage cast of “RENT: School Edition” 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, July 2, as part of the Gateway to the Arts program.

Just In Time’s origin story as well as overall conceit has much in common with one of Broadway’s very first jukebox musicals, which was ahead of its time.
