Theater People Podcast Welcomes RENT, IF/THEN Star Anthony Rapp

On Monday, June 16th the Theater People Podcast welcomes If/Then and "Rent" star Anthony Rapp. Topics discussed include Rapp's two year journey helping to bring "If/Then" to the Broadway stage (he's been with the show since even before the workshop phase), collaborating with the show's creators Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitt to create the character of Lucas, and reuniting with friend and RENT co-star Idina Menzel (he has high praise for her work ethic, talent, and ability to maintain her status as one of Broadway's few 'marquee names').

Rapp also generously shares memories from his time in RENT, his earlier work on Broadway (including being a part of the original cast of the now classic SIX DEGREES OF SEPERATION), discusses turning his bestselling memoir "Without You" into a one man show, and, of course, reminisces on making his film debut in the classic Christopher Columbus film "Adventures in Babysitting."

Find this and all previous episodes at www.theaterppl.com. You can follow the show on Twitter and Instagram, and "Like" it on Facebook. You can also subscribe to the podcast on iTunes, and get the each new episode a day early.

Recently, Theater People Podcast host Patrick Hinds spoke to BWW about how the show got started, and why Lauren Osnes made him sick to his stomach. Theater People Podcast was also one of the shows selected as part of BWW's Top-20 Podcasts for Theatre Fans.
