Get On Your Feet!! BroadwayWorld was in the house last night as the new Broadway musical based on the life story of seven-time GRAMMY winning international superstar Gloria Estefanand her husband, nineteen-time GRAMMY winning producer-musician-entrepreneur Emilio Estefan, opened on Broadway. The play about Britain's future king, King Charles III, which began previews October 10, 2015, officially opened on November 1, at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street, NYC). BroadwayWorld was on hand for the special day, and you can check out photos from the curtain call here.

Emmy Award-winner and Grammy Award nominee Wayne Brady will take over the coveted role of 'Lola' in the Tony Award®-winning musical Kinky Boots at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) on November 21, 2015- and BroadwayWorld as a first look at the star in costume! Michael Arden, Kelli Barrett, Bill Berloni, Robert Fairchild, Sutton Foster, Lesli Margherita, Andrea McArdle, Orfeh,Hugh Panaro, Kate Rockwell, Jarrod Spector and Alysha Umphress all took part in Best in Shows, a star-studded cabaret evening to benefit the Humane Society of New York, at Feinstein's/ 54 Below. Oscar and Tony Award-winner Joel Grey was awarded the first annual Humane Society of New York's Sandy Award, presented to an artist who has shown a fierce commitment, through action and advocacy, to the cause of animal rights. The Young Vic's critically-acclaimed production of Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge, directed byIvo van Hove, is currently in previews at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street). The production, which swept the 2015 Olivier Awards -- winning for Best Revival, Best Director, and Best Actor (Mark Strong), opens on Thursday, November 12 and will play an 18-week limited engagement through Sunday, February 21, 2016. Manhattan Theatre Club honored two-time Tony Award winner, Emmy Award winner, and longtime MTC collaborator and board member Christine Baranski, as part of its Fall Benefit at 583 Park Avenue (63rd Street and Park Avenue). The evening featured appearances by Baranski friends and colleagues Walter Bobbie (On Your Toes at Encores!),Alan Cumming ("The Good Wife"), Cherry Jones, Nathan Lane (Lips Together, Teeth Apart at MTC), Julianna Margulies ("The Good Wife"), Rob Marshall (Into The Woods, Chicago), Paul Rudnick (Regrets Only at MTC), Meryl Streep (Into the Woods, Mamma Mia!), Max von Essen (Mame at the Kennedy Center), and more. It's not long until the launch of the first national tour of THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY, led by Elizabeth Stanley (On the Town, Million Dollar Quartet) as Francesca and Andrew Samonsky (The Hunchback of Notre Dame, South Pacific) as Robert. THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY national tour will launch at the Des Moines Civic Center with performances beginning Saturday, November 28th and an official opening on Tuesday, December 1st. The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present the return of "We're Gonna Have To Ask You to Leave," a benefit concert to kick out cancer, on Monday, November 2 at 7pm. Hosted by Tony nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger (Glass Menagerie, Peter and the Starcatcher) and Lortel award winnerMichael Urie (Lincoln Center's Shows for Days, "Ugly Betty") this was the second benefit concert and auction for the American Cancer Society to be produced by actresses Karen Walsh (Machinal, American Odyssey) and Rebecca Brooksher ("Happyish," Red Bull's Loot).
