The Muny presents the fourth show of its 96th season, The Addams Family, directed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge, choreographed by Vince Pesce, with musical direction by Ben Whiteley. The show begins tonight, July 14 and runs through July 20, 2014.

Rob McClure and Jenny Powers star as Gomez and Morticia Addams. Joining them are John Scherer as Mal Beineke, Hollis Resnik as Alice Beineke, Steve Rosen as Uncle Fester, Jen Cody as Grandma, William Ryall as Lurch, Dan DeLuca as Lucas Beineke, Sara Kapner as Wednesday Addams, and Michael Harp as Pugsley Addams.

The Muny production features scenic design by Michael Schweikardt, sound design by Jason Krueger, lighting design by Nathan Scheuer, video design by Seth Jackson, and costume design by Andrea Lauer. The production stage manager is Bonnie Panson.

Based on the beloved cartoon family that has been entertaining the world for decades, The Addams Family musical is making its US regional and Muny premiere. Charles Addams' classical and creepy characters - Gomez, Morticia, Pugsley, Lurch and even Uncle Fester - take the stage this summer in a riotous Broadway musical. In a wicked twist, Wednesday Addams, the ultimate daughter of darkness, has fallen for a perfectly respectable and sweet young man. The Addams Family features a book by Jersey Boys authors Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa.

ROB McCLURE (Gomez Addams) is thrilled to be back at The Muny after playing both the evil Lord Farquaad in Shrek and Bert in Mary Poppins last summer. He received Tony®, Drama League, Astaire and Outer Critics Circle nominations and won the Theatre World and Clive Barnes awards for his performance as Chaplin in Chaplin: The Musical on Broadway last season. Prior to that, he charmed audiences and critics alike with his performance in the title role in Where's Charley? at Encores! Rob's other Broadway credits include the 2002 revival of I'm Not Rappaport, opposite Judd Hirsch and Ben Vereen, and the roles of Princeton and Rod in Avenue Q; he later received a Helen Hayes nomination for his performance on the Avenue Q national tour. He recently starred opposite Tony Danza in the Paper Mill Playhouse world-premiere production of Jason Robert Brown's Honeymoon In Vegas, which is scheduled to move to Broadway later this year. He delighted 92nd Street Y audiences in Kathleen Marshall's salute to MGM musicals, Going Hollywood. He also appeared in the world premiere of Ken Ludwig's The Game's Afoot at the Cleveland Playhouse and Robert and Willie Reale's Johnny Baseball at the American Repertory Theatre. In Philadelphia, he has won two Barrymore Awards for best actor in a musical, and starred as Mozart in Amadeus at the Walnut Street Theatre. For his performance in the short film Recursion, directed by Sam Buntrock, he recently won the Best Actor Award at the Queens World Film Festival. Recursion continues to be screened this year on the festival circuit

JENNY POWERS (Morticia Addams) returns to The Muny after playing the title role in last year's Mary Poppins. She most recently originated the roles of Samira in the world premiere of Secondhand Lions (Seattle Fifth Avenue) and Maggie in the upcoming world premiere of A Little More Alive (Kansas City Rep). Broadway: Rizzo in Grease and Meg in Little Women. Theatre highlights include Lois Lane in It's a Bird..It's a Plane..It's Superman at Encores; Mary Kate Danaher in Donnybrook! at the Irish Rep (Drama Desk nom); Veronica Franco in the world premiere of Dangerous Beauty at Pasadena Playhouse; Gina in Happiness at Lincoln Center; Diana Devereaux in Of Thee I Sing at Encores. TV/Film: Blue Bloods (CBS), Power (Starz), The Good Wife (CBS), Mercy (NBC), Law & Order: CI (USA), Six Degrees (ABC), Nurse Jackie (Showtime), I Think I Love My Wife, Confessions of a Shopaholic, and the upcoming Mysteries of Laura on NBC.

JOHN SCHERER (Mal Beineke) is thrilled to return to The Muny where last season he appeared in Spamalot. St. Louis audiences most recently saw him in Noises Off at the St Louis Rep, where he also played the title role in The Foreigner. He has appeared on Broadway in LoveMusik, By Jeeves, Sunset Boulevard and Funny Girl (Actors Fund benefit). Other New York credits include The Most Happy Fella and Cinderella at the NYC Opera. He has appeared in leading roles across the country in many regional theaters. Film and television credits include Spinning Into Butter, The Shield, Crossing Jordan, Guiding Light, Titus and Law & Order (all three series).

HOLLIS RESNIK (Alice Beineke) Hollis just completed the National tour of Sister Act as Mother Superior and was also seen as Judy Garland in End of the Rainbow at MRT. She was seen in Court Theatre 's production of Angels in America in Chicago, in Follies at Chicago Shakespeare, and Shakespeare Theatre of DC's production of Candide for which she received a Helen Hayes award. Chicago: Goodman Theatre, Ravinia, Lyric Opera, and the CSO. Regionally: Longwharf, Alliance, Milwaukee Rep, and the Cleveland Playhouse. National tours include, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and LES MISERABLES. She is the recipient of 2 Sarah Siddons awards, 11 Jeff awards and is a 2012 recipient of the Lunt Fontanne Fellowship.

STEVE ROSEN (Uncle Fester) is an actor, writer and composer/lyricist based out of New York City. On Broadway, he originated leading roles in Spamalot, The Farnsworth Invention and the 2009 revival of Guys & Dolls. Off-Broadway he co-wrote and starred in both The Other Josh Cohen (with David Rossmer) for which he was nominated for 4 Drama Desk Awards and Don't Quit Your Night Job (with Rossmer, Dan Lipton and Sarah Saltzberg). Concerts: Mikado (Carnegie Hall), Knickerbocker Holiday (Alice Tully), phish (MSG) TV: Masters of Sex, Psych, Person of Interest, Law & Order. Upcoming Films: The Humbling and Beijing/New York.

JEN CODY (Grandma) has performed in 11 Broadway shows including The Pajama Game, Urinetown, Taboo and Shrek. She originated roles off-Broadway in The Wild Party and Charles Bush's Judith of Bethulia. Her voice can be heard on many cartoons including Winx Club and Robot and Monster. She won the Annie Award (voice over Oscar) for voicing Charlotte LaBoueff in Disney's The Princess and the Frog. She was last seen at The Muny in Hello, Dolly! where she won the Kevin Kline Award for Best Featured Actress in a musical.

WILLIAM RYALL (Lurch) appeared most recently on Broadway in Chaplin, the Musical. Other Broadway credits include Anything Goes, Amadeus, How To Succeed, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Seussical the Musical, High Society, The Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public, Grand Hotel, Me And My Girl, and Guys and Dolls. At the NYC Opera he appeared as the Postman in The Most Happy Fella. National tours include Phantom of the Opera, On Your Toes, The Best Little Whorehouse, Evita, My One and Only. He received unanimous critical acclaim as Spats in Some Like It Hot starring Tony Curtis. Film - Synechdoche, New York and the upcoming horror film The Factory.

DANIEL DELUCA (Lucas Beineke) is thrilled to be making his Muny debut! Regional: Danny in Stephen Schwartz's Snapshots (Goodspeed Opera House) Gabe in Next to Normal, Fyedka in Fiddler on the Roof, and Charlie Brown in YAGMCB (The Weston Playhouse). NY: Cain/Japheth in Children of Eden (CAP21) Other credits include various concerts/new works at 54 Below, Joe's Pub & Radio City Music Hall.

SARA KAPNER (Wednesday Addams) Broadway: Hollywood Arms (dir. Harold Prince). Off-Broadway: Bare, Trouble (NYMF '12), Captain Louie, Children's Letters to God. Regional: The Diary of Anne Frank at the Delaware Theatre Company. Film: The Factory (upcoming), A Little Help. Sara is a graduate of Fordham University.

MICHAEL HARP (Pugsley Addams) recently performed the role of Kurt in the Lyric Opera of Chicago's The Sound of Music. His performances at The Muny include Spamalot, Shrek: the Musical, LES MISERABLES, Mary Poppins and Bye Bye Birdie (Randolph). With Variety Children's Theatre, he played Michael Darling in Peter Pan and has been seen at St. Louis's Center of Contemporary Arts in the US premiere of Swallows & Amazons.
