Prospect Theater Company has announced the Ignite Series: a year-long line-up of concert events at The Times Center, featuring today's new voices shaping the future of musical theater. The Ignite Series will reflect Prospect's dedication to fostering and producing new voices, creating a high-visibility platform for work by emerging artists. Series programming will include premieres of original material by award-winning songwriters; cutting-edge creations straight from Prospect's annual Musical Theater Lab; concert stagings of musicals in development; and more. A full schedule of 2015 events will be announced in July.

Kicking off the Ignite Series is By The Numbers, a concert evening featuring the world premiere performance of 12 "micro-musicals" created in Prospect's 2015 Musical Theater Lab. This special one-night-only event will be held at The Times Center (242 W. 41st. St.) on Saturday, June 27th at 8pm, performed by an ensemble cast of 24. Each of these original, hot-off-the-presses musical theater shorts runs under seven minutes, and has been inspired by a number -- one through twelve -- creating a brand-new musical revue collectively written over the lab's month-long time span by participating composers and lyricists.

The twelve writing teams featured in By The Numbers include Jill Abramovitz (It Shoulda Been You) & Brad Alexander (See Rock City & Other Destinations); Marion Adler (Enter the Guardsman) & Peter Foley (The Hidden Sky); Sammy Buck (Like You Like It) & Clay Zambo (Windjammers); EllaRose Chary & Sooyeon Lee (The Daguerreotype); Sara Cooper & Zach Redler (The Memory Show); Mindi Dickstein (Broadway's Little Women) & Peter Melnick (Adrift in Macao); Susan DiLallo & Stephen Weiner (Once Upon A Time in New Jersey); Michelle Elliott & Danny Larsen (The Yellow Wood); Beth Falcone (Wanda's World); Michael R. Jackson & Anna K. Jacobs (Teeth); Peter Mills (Illyria) & Deborah Abramson (Marco Polo); Maryrose Wood (The Tutor) & Andrew Gerle (Meet John Doe). By The Numbers is directed by Dev Bondarin and music directed by Andrea Grody. Prospect's annual musical theater lab is co-curated by Dev Bondarin and Cara Reichel.

The Times Center (www.TheTimesCenter.com) is located at 242 West 41st Street, between 7th and 8th Avenues, in the heart of NYC's Times Square District. The venue features a 378-seat auditorium with state-of-the-art lighting, sound, and video capability, and a Steinway Concert Grand Piano.

Tickets to BY THE NUMBERS are $25, and may be obtained through online purchase at www.ProspectTheater.org or by calling 212-352-3101. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
