The global premiere of a new show from the Tony Award-winning creator of Annie will soon make its debut-not in New York City, but in Westchester. Tony-winner Martin Charnin is bringing a new musical revue to the Emelin Theatre for the Performing Arts in Mamaroneck, NY. The show is called And The Tony Award Goes To... and will be performed on a pair of evenings, Friday and Saturday, November 7 to 8, 2014, to inaugurate the second year of the Emelin's Broadway in Mamaroneck Series. It's the latest brainchild of its creator, host and narrator Charnin, now celebrating his 57th year in show business with a cavalcade of "the best of the best of Broadway," and features the return of Westchester favorites Shelly Burch, John Treacy Egan, and Alton Fitzgerald White, among others.

"We're honored to be the venue that Broadway great Martin Charnin has chosen to launch what promises to be his next big hit," says Emelin Vice President Karen Isaac, adding, "It's a big deal for the community as well as for the Emelin."

All songs are from Tony Award-winning musicals, starting with Kiss Me Kate in 1949, and will be performed by the headliners as well as the Applause Kids Ensemble and the David Shenton Orchestra. Charnin also promises anecdotes and inside dirt about the ceremonies over the years, as well as audience contests as part of an interactive evening; Burch adds, "Music, juicy gossip and prizes. What could be better?"

The Emelin is located at 153 Library Lane, Mamaroneck NY 10543. The box office is open from 1 to 6pm, Wednesday to Saturday, and two hours before every show, and can be reached at 914.698.0098. Tickets and information on shows are also available on the Emelin's website at emelin.org.
