Popular recording artist, Broadway star, and concert performer Linda Eder announced today that "Christmas Where You Are", the follow-up to her 2000 CD 'Christmas Stays the Same' (on which her 2001 Bravo-TV special and DVD were also based) will be self-released on Monday, October 14, 2013. The CD will be sold exclusively via Eder's web site at www.LindaEder.com and the star promises CD signings and sales at concert dates from November 1 through the end of the year.

Songs for the album were picked by Eder's fans via social media, including "Baby, It's Cold Outside" which Eder has re-interpreted as a 'tongue-in-cheek' mother-child debated about going outside in the chilly weather. That duet is performed by Eder and her son. Also included on the CD are two original songs, 'Christmas Where You Are' with music and lyrics by Eder, and 'Silence of Snow' with music by ex-husband and constant collaborator Frank Wildhorn and lyrics by Eder.

In addition to writing and performing, Eder also co-produced the CD as well. She notes "I waited 13 years to make my second Christmas CD, and some familiar faces came back to help me create this music as well as some wonderful musicians that I had come to know and work with over the last several years."

Showcasing one of the greatest contemporary voices of our time, Linda Eder's diverse repertoire spans Broadway, standards, pop, country and jazz. Heralded as America's acclaimed new interpreter of pop standards and theatrical songs with 14 solo albums and 12 musical recordings, including her most recent CD NOW. Her career soared after appearing on Star Search in the 1988 season, winning for an unprecedented 12 consecutive weeks. This TV success led to a leading role on Broadway as Lucy Harris in the original production of Jekyll & Hyde, for which she received a Drama Desk Award nomination. Linda has performed at many prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Davies Hall, Radio City Music Hall, Wolftrap and the Ravinia Festival.
