LUDO'S BROKEN BRIDE: A ROCK OPERA, starring Drew Gasparini (John Lennon Songwriting Award), Alysha Umphress (American Idiot) and Caitlin Kinnunen (Bridges of Madison County) will make its world premiere tonight to a sold out audience at The Cutting Room. The concert will also star Randy Blair (Fat Camp) and Brian Charles Rooney (The Threepenny Opera) with Nate Begle (John Tartaglia's ImaginOcean), Aymee Garcia (Shrek, Avenue Q), Maddy Jarmon (), Dan Kohler (Flashdance), Brendan Malafronte (John Tartaglia's ImaginOcean), Anthea Neri (NAA's Oliver), Azudi Onyejekwe (Violet), and Kate Steinberg.

Based on the music of LUDO and adapted and directed by Stacey Weingarten with arrangements and additional story by David Levinson, the event will take place tonight at 9:30 at The Cutting Room (44 East 32nd Street, New York NY 10010). Doors will open at 8pm. An opening band, edu, will play at 8:30p.

LUDO's Broken Bride is a rock opera being expanded from the concept album of the same name by alternative rock band LUDO. Thanks to the addition of songs from across LUDO's entire discography, the storyline has been enhanced from the original EP but its heart remains the same, telling one man's time-traveling journey from the Age of Dinosaurs to the Zombie Apocalypse, all to save his true love's life (and perhaps the whole world!). In a shorter form the piece was presented to a sold-out audience at Ars Nova's ANT Fest 2013. This musical has it all -- pterodactyls, zombies, puppets, and true love!

LUDO's Broken Bride features an original concept, music and lyrics by LUDO, orchestrations by David Levinson, adaptation by Stacey Weingarten, musical direction by Joshua Zecher-Ross, puppets by James Wojtal, projections by Pauline Lu, lighting design by Andrew Scharwath, styling by Bree Perry, hair & makeup by Jamie Bednarchick, and casting by Michael Cassara, CSA. The concert is being produced by Chinese Mother Jewish Daughter LLC, and Shoshana Feinstein.

Tickets were sold out, but due to overwhelming demand the producers have released a limited number of general admission SRO tickets that will be available online and at the door prior to the performance. For more information visit LudosBrokenBride.com.
