According to the New York Post, current LES MISERABLES star Alfie Boe, who departs that show at the end of February, has his next gig lined up. The paper reports he "will be stepping into the starring role of "Finding Neverland," ... Boe will play "Peter Pan" creator J.M. Barrie, replacing Tony Yazbeck, and he will then open the show in London's West End in January of next year." No official announcement has yet been made.

Boe returned to Broadway in Cameron Mackintosh's new Broadway production of Claude-Michel Schönberg & Alain Boublil's Les Miserables, now in its second year at the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street), on September 1.

Boe is beloved by millions of LES MIZ fans for his towering performance in the legendary 25th Anniversary Concert at London's O2 Arena in October, 2010, which instantly turned him into a star. The legendary concert was subsequently released on DVD and Blu-Ray, selling millions of copies worldwide. In 2011, Boe played a sold-out six-month engagement as Valjean in the original West End production of Les Miserables at the Queen's Theatre. His performances as 'Valjean' rapidly propelled him into a platinum-selling recording artist and a hugely-successful concert performer worldwide.

Finding Neverland follows playwright J.M. Barrie as he summons the courage to become the writer - and the man - he yearns to be. Barrie finds the inspiration he's been missing when he meets the beautiful widow Sylvia and her four young sons: Jack, George, Michael and Peter. Delighted by the boys' hilarious escapades, Barrie conjures the magical world of Neverland and writes a play unlike any the high-society London theatergoers have ever seen. It's a tremendous risk, but as Barrie himself has discovered- when you believe, you can fly. The show is directed by Tony Award® winner Diane Paulus (Pippin, Hair), with music and lyrics by Gary Barlow (Take That) and Grammy® winner Eliot Kennedy, book by Olivier Award nominee James Graham and choreography by Emmy Award®-winner Mia Michaels ("So You Think You Can Dance," Cirque du Soleil's Delirium).
