As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Alexa Ray Joel, the 28-year-old singer/songwriter and daughter of Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley, fainted onstage during a show at Café Carlyle on April 14.

She was two songs into her final performance of the run when she collapsed and was rushed to the New York Presbyterian Hospital emergency room, where doctors said her fainting spell was caused by vasovagal syncope, according to Ms. Joel's spokeswoman, Claire Mercuri.

Joel will return to the venue tonight, June 24 through the 28th to make up for the lost performance.
