In roaring twenties Chicago, chorine Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap until he finds out hes been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and another merry murderess, Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of the American Dream: fame, fortune, and acquittal.

We are UBC’s only Musical Theatre club with a passion for anything to do with music, dance, and performing! We welcome new members and encourage participation of all talent, experience, and skill levels! The UBC Musical Theatre Troupe was established to provide accessible musical theatre opportunities for the UBC community. We produce two full-length productions yearly. UBC MTT also hosts a variety of other musical-related events and performances, including an annual gala and two 24-Hour Musicals. We provide inexpensive entertainment and involvement for UBC students.
