In partnership with fu-GEN Asian Canadian Theatre Company, Nightwood Theatre presents a reading of Chloé Hung's All Our Yesterdays as part of Nightwood's Groundswell Festival programming.
Dealing with the horrifying kidnapping of 276 Nigerian schoolgirls, All Our Yesterdays follows the intimate relationship between two sisters in captivity, eighteen-year-old Ladi and her younger sister Hasana, a teen with Asperger’s. While Hasana appears oblivious to the dangers of the situation, Ladi must face the guilt she feels of being responsible for her sister. The play’s many accolades include Patron’s Pick Award – Toronto Fringe Festival, Best New Play – My Theatre Award from My Entertainment World and Outstanding New Play, in NOW Magazine’s Fringe Roundup.
