Bernard Shaw's Heartbreak House returns to the Shaw Festival for the 2026 season, directed by artistic director Tim Carroll. Ellie Dunn, played by Allison Edwards-Crewe, is engaged to ruthless businessman Boss Mangan, played by Graeme Somerville, but finds unexpected surprises at the home of her friend Hesione, played by Julia Course, while Hesione's eccentric father Captain Shotover, played by Tom Rooney, warns that society is headed for ruin. The production also features Neil Barclay, Fiona Byrne, Jason Cadieux, Kristi Frank, Sochi Fried, Martin Happer, Sanjay Talwar, and Michael Therriault. Set and costume design is by Ximena Pinilla, with lighting by Louise Guinand and music direction and sound design by Claudio Vena.
