A new adaptation based on the classic A.A. Milne play Toad of Toad Hall, adapted and directed by Fiona Sauder, making its world premiere at the Shaw Festival. Serial enthusiast Mr. Toad, played by Lawrence Libor, has discovered the thrill of fast motorcars, leading to his imprisonment while rivals Chief Stoat (Sara Farb) and Chief Weasel (Matt Alfano) seize Toad Hall, forcing Toad to break out and reclaim his home with the help of Mole (Gabriella Sundar Singh), Rat (Sharry Flett), and Badger (Shawn Wright). The production features set and prop design by Judith Bowden, costume design by Laura Delchiaro, lighting design by Kevin Lamotte, and original music and sound design by Jeffrey Newberry. Recommended for audiences aged 6 and up, the show runs approximately 2 hours including one 20-minute intermission.
