All proceeds went to support Gilda's Club, which provides an invaluable support system and resource for people's who's lives have been touched by cancer. Following from the original Paradise Lost film and its two sequels, West of Memphis follows the events of the West Memphis Three, a case in which three teenagers-Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jessie Misskelley-were arrested for the murders of three 8-year old children; Christopher Byers, Steven Branch, and Michael Moore. The West Memphis Three were subsequently convicted of murder and remained in prison for more than 18 years, being released just prior to the third Paradise Lost film. The film just premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, and you can check out photos from the event below!

(09/11/2012) - On the Road is a film adaptation of the Jack Kerouac cult classic novel of the same name, directed by Walter Salles and starring Sam Riley as Sal Paradise and Garrett Hedlund as Dean Moriarty. The story is based on the years Kerouac spent travelling the United States in the 1940s with his friend Neal Cassady and several other figures who would go on to fame in their own right, including William S. Burroughs and Allen Ginsberg. The film just played the Toronto International Film Festival, and you can check out photos from the premiere below!

The atmosphere was electric, with all guests being treated to cocktails, popcorn and ice cream under the big top. With many VIPs in attendance, Cirque debuted their newest production (directed by Diane Paulus) to Toronto. The show is loosely based on Shakespeare's The Tempest, and is a feast for the eyes and ears. BWW was on hand for opening and is thrilled to bring its readers photos from the performance.
