(07/11/2012) - Peter Karrie represented the United Kingdom at the 33rd Annual Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo, the world's largest annual indoor show, in Halifax, NS, Canada this past week. The event celebrated Her Majesty The Queen's Diamond Jubilee, commemorated the bicentennial of the War of 1812 and paid tribute to the loss of the RMS Titanic and the role Halifax played in the disaster in 1912. Karrie was joined joined by fellow Canadian and soprano, Brenna Conrad. Known as the world's most popular Phantom, Karrie has performed the role over 2,700 times around the world in Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera. See photos of Karrie performing below!

(07/11/2012) - Yesterday, July 10, cast members from DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST were the special guest readers at Story Time in the Children's Library in the Family Centre at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto. Cast members Lauren Palmeri and Andrew Betz read from the traditional fairy tale 'Beauty and the Beast' to patients in the Children's Library. The reading was also streamed live into patient rooms throughout the hospital. See below for a photo of the cast members at the event!

The evening embraced a 'Diamond' theme, with gorgeous tutus on display throughout the centre showcasing designs from all over the world. Guests were invited to watch highlights from the Ballet's impressive repertoire and then had a gala dinner and dance on the stage of the Centre. (06/21/2012) - On Monday hundreds of girls ventured out to the CBC studio in downtown Toronto for an open call to cast the next Dorothy in an upcoming production of The Wizard of Oz. Dorothy will be cast via reality TV show Over the Rainbow, where participants will perform songs and be judged each week in the style of Canadian Idol. The winner will don the ruby slippers when The Wizard of Oz opens via Mirvish Productions later this year. BWW was thrilled to be on hand to bring our readers photos from inside the auditions.
