Review: RENT: IN CONCERT at Strathmore
by Mary Lincer - Feb 26, 2026
Yes, Rent opened on Broadway thirty years ago. Having seen its final preview with a rapt and frequently weeping audience, it was fun to share it with an audience that knows the score (and when to moo).

Review: LEA SALONGA: STAGE, SCREEN, & EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN at The Music Center At Strathmore
by David Friscic - Dec 11, 2025
Before Lea Salonga stepped out on the stage of the Strathmore this past Saturday evening, I could feel the anticipation building. Soon, a very savvy orchestra assembled and lightly “tuned up” as the audience awaited the entrance of Lea Salonga, --stage, screen, recording and concert performer par excellence. Ms. Salonga finally appeared to loud applause in a beautifully tuxedoed -tailored, colorful pantsuit.

Review: MANHEIM STEAMROLLER CHRISTMAS at The Music Center At Strathmore
by Elliot Lanes - Dec 3, 2025
The holiday season is now in full swing and amidst all the “God bless us all” and Sugar Plums is a seasonal perennial that has been kicking holiday music up a notch for over 40 years now.
