Reynolds Performance Hall History
The Reynolds Performance Hall opened on September 15, 2000, with a sold-out concert by the late Ray Charles. Since then, Reynolds Performance Hall has hosted numerous celebrities, including Loretta Lynn, Gavin DeGraw, the Temptations, Gladys Knight, Kevin Eubanks, Glen Campbell, Spike Lee, Nicholas Sparks, Frankie Valli, and Wynton Marsalis. Public Appearances has also presented national tours such as Cats, Cabaret, Legally Blonde and Rent and international touring companies such as the Russian National Ballet, Sowetto Gospel Choir, and the National Symphony Orchestra.

Western swing may be my new favorite genre of music thanks to Reynolds Performance Hall on the University of Central Arkansas campus in Conway, who brings a lot of variety to their patrons. On March 1, we were treated to the swinging sounds of HOT CLUB OF COWTOWN, along with the handsome TYLER HILTON, who took the stage for an unforgettable night of music that blended vintage charm with modern flair. We couldn’t stop tapping our feet the whole night.

When I heard that CONWAY MEN’S CHORUS was celebrating 25 years of singing, I knew I needed to check out their Holiday Concert Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Reynolds Performance Hall at The University of Central Arkansas in Conway, and I loved this celebration of music, community, and the holiday spirit. Not only did they have a beautiful repertoire, but they let others shine that evening as well.

The holiday shows have officially begun, and my first introduction into the season was by my favorite a cappella group STRAIGHT NO CHASER, who took the Reynolds Performance Hall stage in Conway on Friday, Nov. 1, and performed a mixture of hits and Christmas tunes to a packed house of appreciating Chasers and new-to-them fans. From their beautiful harmonies to their humor and heart, Straight No Chaser brought something special to Arkansas, and we can’t wait for them to return next year!
