State University Theatre & Dance is proud to present Stop Kiss by Diana Son in the Fishback Studio Theatre at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center.
At its broadest, Stop Kiss is about how to have a voice as a woman, speak in your defense, and answer the question, “What do you want?”
Sara, who recently arrived from St. Louis, does not know New York City. As Callie helps orient Sara to the city, Sara teaches Callie how to assert herself. And finally, Callie does. She kisses Sara.
A man who sees the kiss insults them, Sara answers back, and the man exacts retribution. But the last word belongs to Callie and Sara and their love.
Stop Kiss does contain mature language and themes.
Performances will be February 16th through the 18th at 7:30pm and February 19th at 2pm.
Tickets can be purchased at the Box Office in the lobby of the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center Monday through Friday from 1 to 4pm in-person or by calling (605) 688-6045. Tickets can also be purchased at sdsutheatre.org.
We hope that you will help us celebrate love by joining us for Stop Kiss!
