The Arden Theatre Company kicks off their 35th Anniversary season with a new staging of the beloved Tennessee Williams’ classic, The Glass Menagerie. 

The Australian production of HAMILTON has officially opened in Melbourne, beginning performances at Her Majesty's Theatre from 15 March 2022.

While much of Alan Turing’s work was the subject of the Official Secrets Act, his personal life was not afforded the same anonymity and details of his sexuality overshadowed his achievements for many years.  Hugh Whitemore’s BREAKING THE CODE seeks to balance the scales of the awareness of Turing achievements along with the outdated laws on homosexuality that saw the father of computer science convicted and subjected to hormone therapy which eventually broke him, physically and mentally.

The Flea Theater presents the World Premiere of SCRAPS written by Geraldine Inoa, a writer on The Walking Dead and the inaugural recipient of The Shonda Rhimes Unsung Voices Playwriting Commission. It is directed by Flea Artistic Director Niegel Smith. Now in previews, opening night is slated for Thursday, August 30.

?Led by Founding Artistic Director Katherine Kovner and Producing Director Roberta Pereira, and following the success of Sarah DeLappe's critically acclaimed The Wolves, The Playwrights Realm continues their female-centric 10th Anniversary season with the New York Premiere of Jen Silverman'sThe Moors (February 27 - March 25) at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project. Directed by Mike Donahue and riffing on the lives and works of certain 19th-century novel-writing sisters, The Moors is a dark comic examination of the ways in which women fight for visibility.

This summer INDEPENDENT SHAKESPEARE CO. presents an imaginative production of Shakespeare's final play, THE TEMPEST, featuring Thom Rivera as Prospero and directed by Matthew Earnest.  THE TEMPEST will begin previews at THE GRIFFITH PARK FREE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL on Saturday, July 30 at 7pm and will open on Saturday, August 6 at 7:00pm and perform through Sunday, September 4 at the Old Zoo in Griffith Park.  All ISC Summer Shakespeare productions are FREE to the public!  THE TEMPEST is the second of two productions being presented at this year's GRIFFITH PARK FREE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL. RICHARD III played June 25 - July 24.

The international smash hit musical, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET is set on December 4, 1956, when an auspicious twist of fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley together. Sam Phillips, the 'Father of Rock 'n' Roll' who was responsible for launching the careers of each icon, brought the four legendary musicians together at the Sun Records studio in Memphis for the first and only time. The resulting evening became known as one of the greatest rock 'n' roll jam sessions in history.

The latest play from French sensation Florian Zeller, who has already enjoyed a pair of London hits with THE FATHER and THE MOTHER, is currently onstage at Menier Chocolate Factory. THE MOTHER transfers to the Tricycle Theatre from Ustinov Studio in Bath, opening 26 January, with previews from 21 January, and running until 5 March 2016, starring Gina McKee, Richard Clothier and William Posthelwaite in their original roles, joined by new cast member Frances McNamee. Tuesday night (Aug. 4, 2015) beloved Las Vegas non-profit, Opportunity Village's Village Blend vocal group joined the cast of the smash-hit musical MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET onstage for a special encore performance at Harrah's Las Vegas. In celebration of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET's 1,000th performance on the Las Vegas Strip, Village Blend performed Carl Perkins' 'Blue Suede Shoes' alongside the rockin' cast for an enthusiastic audience. The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) 2015 celebrated its official opening night earlier this week on Tuesday, July 7th, at the Liberty Theater. The event runs through July 27th, 2015. BroadwayWorld has photos from the opening festivities below!

On her Sunday off from Broadway's IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU, Tyne Daly went to see her friend Chita Rivera in THE VISIT at the Lyceum Theater and congratulated her (after jumping to her feet for the standing ovation) backstage in her dressing room after the show. THE VISIT is set to open this Thursday, April 23rd, making it the final musical and the last show to open in the 2014-2015 season. Scroll down for a photo!

Baltimore Shakespeare Factory (BSF), in conjunction with British original pronunciation (OP) experts, the father and son team of David and Ben Crystal, opens its 2015 season with a historic production of The Merchant of Venice.
