The international smash hit musical, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET is set on December 4, 1956, when an auspicious twist of fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley together. Sam Phillips, the 'Father of Rock 'n' Roll' who was responsible for launching the careers of each icon, brought the four legendary musicians together at the Sun Records studio in Memphis for the first and only time. The resulting evening became known as one of the greatest rock 'n' roll jam sessions in history.

Tuesday night (Aug. 4, 2015) beloved Las Vegas non-profit, Opportunity Village's Village Blend vocal group joined the cast of the smash-hit musical MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET onstage for a special encore performance at Harrah's Las Vegas. In celebration of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET's 1,000th performance on the Las Vegas Strip, Village Blend performed Carl Perkins' 'Blue Suede Shoes' alongside the rockin' cast for an enthusiastic audience. On her Sunday off from Broadway's IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU, Tyne Daly went to see her friend Chita Rivera in THE VISIT at the Lyceum Theater and congratulated her (after jumping to her feet for the standing ovation) backstage in her dressing room after the show. Baltimore Shakespeare Factory (BSF), in conjunction with British original pronunciation (OP) experts, the father and son team of David and Ben Crystal, opens its 2015 season with a historic production of The Merchant of Venice.
