In honor of its 8th Anniversary on Broadway, the blockbuster musical Wicked treated its fans to a special 'Ultimate Encore' performance yesterday, October 30th. Over 10,000 Wicked fans cast their votes online for their favorite song from the musical to be performed by the current Broadway cast for this one-time-only performance following Sunday's matinee. The 'Ultimate Encore' performance was broadcast worldwide over Facebook that evening at 9pm for Wicked fans across the globe and features appearances by Wicked alumni, composer Stephen Schwartz & More! The 2011 edition of the annual Carols for a Cure album is now in the works. Produced by Rock-it Science Records and currently in it's thirteenth year, purchase of the album benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This highly anticipated annual holiday release features casts from the current line-up of prestigious shows performing new and traditional holiday music. Broadway's Carols for a Cure offers a 'snapshot' of each season, as the casts and orchestras from each show on Broadway perform their own holiday track. Beginning tonight Tuesday, July 21th, Dee Roscioli assumes the role of Elphaba in the hit musical Wicked. Ms. Roscioli is making her Broadway debut after playing the role of Elphaba for the final two years of the record-breaking Chicago production of Wicked. Dee joins a cast which includes Alli Mauzey as Glinda, Tony Award-winner Rondi Reed as Madame Morrible, P.J. The Chicago company of Wicked will take its final bow after the 2 p.m. performance on Sunday, January 25, 2009, following a record-breaking open run at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre.

Composer/lyricist Stephen Schwartz and Kerry Ellis, current star of the Broadway smash Wicked, dressed as the show's green heroine, Elphaba, The Wicked Witch of The West, lit the Empire State Building green on Monday, October 27 at 12:00PM. The building glowed Wicked green from dusk to midnight on Monday in honor of Wicked's 5th Anniversary Celebration.
