Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark showcased an unprecedented event with Times Square Alliance when they dropped the New Year's Eve ball 30 feet before midnight on New Year's Eve, marking the first time in history the ball has descended before midnight. In an exciting segment shown live in Times Square and on CNN, Spider-Man came to the rescue when The Green Goblin took host Anderson Cooper captive. After the Goblin threatened to drop the ball early to ruin New Year's Eve, Spider-Man raised it back to its original position and stood triumphantly on top of One Times Square. The event featured Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark actors Matthew James Thomas, Patrick Page, Jeb Brown and Christopher Tierney alongside CNN hosts Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin. Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark (Michael Cohl and Jeremiah J. Harris, Producers) hosted a special ticket giveaway in celebration of Halloween on Wednesday, October 26th. All children in costume at the matinee performance were invited to meet Spider-Man and take a photo with him immediately following the performance! Check out photos of the mini Spideys below!

Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark, has played to over five-hundred-thousand audience members, as of yesterday's matinee performance. The 500,000th ticketholder, Australian youngster Jordan Muir, was surprised during the curtain call when Patrick Page (Green Goblin) invited the boy and his parents, Michelle and Rob Muir, onstage for a special recognition. Jordan was handed a gigantic bouquet of balloons, in Spidey's signature colors, as the crowd cheered. As they exited the theater, through the stage doors, photographers were waiting to snap pictures of the family. JorDan Held up a stage prop he had been given backstage: a copy of The Daily Bugle.

While the Broadway world is still abuzz from Sunday's Tony Awards, all eyes turned last night to another star-studded red carpet event: the much-delayed opening of Spider-Man: TURN OFF THE DARK.
